As someone who has grown up with Disney and cherishes every piece of content it has to offer, this recent move by Disney+ to remove shows from Hulu, National Geographic, and Disney Channel feels like a punch in the gut. I’ve spent countless hours binge-watching these shows, laughing, crying, and learning from them. It’s like losing a dear friend who was always there to entertain me during my lonely nights or help me escape from reality when times were tough.
A variety of unique series from Hulu, National Geographic, and Disney Channel have been officially taken down from Disney+. This decision follows a move made over a year ago when Disney chose to remove popular shows such as Willow, The Mysterious Benedict Society, and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers from their streaming service.
What are the Hulu, NatGeo, & Disney Channel shows removed from Disney+?
Many shows that have been taken down from Disney+ were only recently premiered, including Kristen Stewart’s ghost hunting show Living for the Dead, NatGeo’s biopic miniseries A Small Light, and Hailey’s On It from Disney Channel, as well as the most recent addition to NatGeo’s Genius anthology series, MLX/X.
Moreover, the historical adventure film “Togo” was also removed from the streaming platform. This movie, one of the first original productions to be released directly on the platform, came out in 2019 and featured Willem Dafoe, Julianne Nicholson, and Richard Dormer in its star-studded cast.
