Disney Illusion Island goes multiplatform in May and adds new DLC

Mickey Mouse and his pals have been away from the Nintendo Switch for a few years now, but they’re back with Disney Illusion Island, a third-party exclusive to the Switch platform, which hit shelves in 2023. Now that some time has passed, it’s high time for gamers everywhere to experience this exciting journey. On Wednesday, Dlala Studios announced that Disney Illusion Island would be available on multiple platforms, coinciding with the release of its next DLC expansion.

Disney Illusion Island, now known as Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey And Friends, transports Mickey Mouse and his companions to the enigmatic island of Monoth. The locals require their help in locating three books to prevent a catastrophe from befalling the world. Players can manage Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, or Goofy individually or with up to four other players. Shacknews had previously reviewed this game, noting that despite its lenient mechanics, it remains an entertaining method to spend time with friends and family. Moreover, the hand-drawn animation is visually stunning.

When Disney Illusion Island expands to more platforms, you can expect additional downloadable content (DLC) to be released alongside it. Following the previous updates such as Keeper Up and Mystery in Monoth, another DLC pack titled Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt will also be available. As the name suggests, this free DLC will involve Scrooge McDuck tasking Mickey Mouse and friends with a treasure hunt for wealth throughout Monoth.

Keep an eye out for Disney’s Illusion Island arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this coming Friday, May 30th. Simultaneously, the C.A.S.H. DLC is set to drop on all platforms on the same day.
