As per Columbus, Trump demanded to be part of the film, making his inclusion a requirement for granting permission to shoot there. The cameo ended up in the final version due to the unexpectedly positive response it received from test audiences during screenings.

On his platform, Truth Social, he asserted that Columbus and his crew persistently requested him to be part of the movie. “I was quite occupied and had no intention of participating. They were extremely courteous – yet insistent,” Trump penned. “I eventually agreed, and that’s how it all unfolded!

The filmmaker asserted emphatically that he wouldn’t deceive anyone by asking an unskilled actor to star in a movie. However, with regards to obtaining entry to the Plaza Hotel, he mentioned, “We found ourselves in quite a predicament.
