As an ardent fan of KGF, I must say that the unexpected revelation of Ramachandra Raju’s role as Garuda left me utterly amazed! The transformation from Yash’s trusted bodyguard to an unforgettable antagonist was nothing short of miraculous.
As a diehard fan, I can’t contain my excitement about Rocking Star Yash’s groundbreaking work in the KGF series! It wasn’t just Yash who stole the show; the mesmerizing performances by supporting actors were equally captivating. Take Garuda, the menacing antagonist that garnered widespread acclaim – did you know he was played by none other than Yash’s real-life bodyguard, Ramachandra Raju? Mind-blowing, right?!
Indeed, as you’ve been informed, he has been associated with the famous musician for over a decade. His roles included serving as both the bodyguard and chauffeur.
Indeed, I made the bold decision to step away from my steady role in a construction firm to devote my time to my partner, Yash. Beneath the surface, though, I’ve always nurtured a deep-seated passion for acting. It wasn’t until the talented director Prashanth Neel recognized this during our script readings with Yash that the opportunity to pursue my dream presented itself.
Inspired by his exceptional skills, the filmmaker recruited him for the project, prior to which Ramachandra needed to attend a workshop for approximately a year to master the intricate details demanded by this art form.
Additionally, Ramachandra found it necessary to conform to a particular form and undergo training, specifically tailored to assume the significant role of an adversary to Garuda.
In a flash, history was made as Ramachandra’s captivating act won over audiences throughout Karnataka. His confident demeanor, muscular build, clever quips, and piercing stare earned him immense admiration from fans, who praised his spot-on portrayal of the perfect villain alongside Yash himself.
During an interview after the triumph of KGF, Ramachandra shared his emotions about reaching such a milestone and disclosed that he hadn’t anticipated the extent to which the movie would influence his professional journey.
He said, “I was thrilled to be a part of KGF 1. I did not expect the film and my role to be so powerful. It was only when the film released that I became aware of its success…that was when it hit me that KGF was indeed a megaproject.”
Apart from KGF, the actor received numerous other projects and prospects in Sandalwood, which he moved forward with. Instead of just reappearing in KGF 2, he was also involved in films such as Sulthan, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, Aaraattu, Aranmanai 4, Hit List, Bagheera, and several others.
