He disclosed that Sridevi’s mother repeatedly asked him to marry her daughter, but Kamal Haasan declined because he viewed the actress as a family member instead.

According to a report in Bollywoodshaadies, Kamal stated, “Her mother and I frequently talked about Sridevi’s potential suitors, and she playfully suggested that perhaps I should marry her daughter. I would chuckle and respond that if such an event occurred, Sri and I would drive each other crazy so much that I would need to send her back home the following day!

During the same interview, Kamal Haasan shared that Sridevi had always held him in high esteem, addressing him as ‘Sir’ until her passing. He described their bond as pure and it’s worth noting that they first crossed paths on the set of the Tamil film, “Moondru Mudichu” in 1968.

13-year-old Sridevi had an encounter with the renowned actor, a meeting that transpired when she was merely 13. Not only did she contribute significantly to the movie, but Kamal Haasan also served as its Assistant Director. Moreover, the rapper from Thug Life disclosed that he bore the responsibility for rehearsing scenes with Sridevi and ensuring her comfort on the film’s set.
