In honor of this timing, Sandeep decided to name his newborn son after the film’s character. Regarding concerns about his son developing Arjun Reddy’s intense anger issues, Sandeep stated that he will have to deal with those traits himself and therefore hopes his son does not follow in those footsteps.

He remarked that the name “Arjun” has a strong and clear ring to it, adding a personal connection for him. Furthermore, the acclaimed filmmaker shared his fondness for the name and reminisced about wishing his mother had named him Arjun instead.

The movie featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey came out in 2017. Despite earning significant revenue at the box office, Arjun Reddy faced criticism due to its graphic violence and allegedly disrespectful portrayal of women.
