Did Shankar choose Game Changer over Indian 2? Filmmaker REACTS to delay of Kamal Haasan starrer

Director Shankar has been making headlines recently due to his latest movie release, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan. Despite receiving varied reactions, it’s also brought some criticism towards him for repeatedly postponing another project, Indian 2, where Kamal Haasan plays the lead role. In a recent conversation, he explained the real reasons behind the numerous setbacks experienced with Indian 2.

In an interview with Behindwoods TV, Shankar shared that he prefers to dedicate himself fully to completing one project at a time, and his usual timeline for working on a film is approximately one and a half years.

In the instance of Indian Film 2, certain unforeseen circumstances influenced the alteration of the shooting process. Consequently, he opted to prioritize Game Changer initially, allowing time for the initial film’s situation to settle down. This included waiting for the actors and team to be available again in the meantime.

Shankar explained that his usual timeframe for finishing a movie is about one and a half years. Any delays beyond this are often due to external factors such as scheduling conflicts with actors or cancellations caused by various reasons. He also noted that it’s challenging to get everyone involved in the project back together once a shoot has been postponed.

Subsequently, the director further elaborated on his approach to work, detailing how he meticulously prepares for every scenario, even setting aside room for potential mishaps should any unforeseen events occur.

Shankar emphasized that he pays close attention to various elements affecting outdoor filming, such as the weather and other relevant circumstances, to ensure that nothing disrupts the smooth progression of work during the production of a movie.

In my dedication to the project, I came to understand that the holdup with Indian 2 was due to the fact that after a significant event derailed the movie’s progression, it proved challenging to return it to its initial condition because of the extensive time required for restoration, resulting in the delay.
