Star Rajinikanth is preparing for the premiere of “Coolie” and simultaneously working on “Jailer 2”. It looks like actor Mohanlal is set to resume his character, Mathew, in the film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

Mohanlal kickstarts shoot for Jailer 2?

As per a report by Cine Loco, it’s been reported that Mohanlal journeyed to Chennai and took part in the filming of Jailer 2. In addition to him, actors such as Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kottayam Nazir, and Anna Rajan are also expected to be present during this shoot.

Nonetheless, it remains unconfirmed by the filmmakers if the superstar will indeed feature in the movie starring Rajinikanth.

Additionally, it’s suggested in the report that Mohanlal could potentially complete filming for Jailer 2 as early as the end of July. Afterward, he may proceed to shoot his role in the Dileep-led production, Bha Bha Ba.

Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 and what to expect?

Renowned actor Rajinikanth is set to return to the silver screen with the film “Jailer 2”. This forthcoming production is a continuation of “Jailer” (released in 2023), where he plays the character “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian.

In the initial release, a story unfolded about an ex-prison guard seeking vengeance against those suspected of murdering his son. Notably, Mohanlal made an appearance in a supporting role as a crime lord named Mathew. It looks like we can expect to see him return to this character in future installments.
