A portion of the audience has already watched the film in cinemas, but some enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting its digital release. In a recent chat, Vetrimaaran revealed that the digital edition will boast an extra hour of content, resulting in a longer overall playtime.
The filmmaker announced that the extended version of Viduthalai Part 2, which includes an additional hour, is set to premiere on OTT platforms. In the US, an extra eight minutes have been added since minor edits were made to the film at the last minute. Combined, footage from both parts 1 and 2 will amount to approximately eight hours of viewing time.
As of now, the specific date for the online streaming launch of Viduthalai Part 2 on an Official Over-the-Top (OTT) platform remains undecided. However, it’s anticipated that the movie will be available for viewing on ZEE5 in January 2025.
Initially, Viduthalai was intended to be one movie. But, in the year 2022, it was determined that the narrative would be divided into two segments instead. This choice was taken to ensure the continuity of the storyline and prevent important scenes from being omitted.
In the sequel of “Viduthalai”, we have Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and other notable actors in the cast.
