Now, Saif Ali Khan, a seasoned Bollywood actor making his debut in South cinema with Devara, has shared his thoughts on the experience of working on this highly anticipated project.

At the premiere for the film Devara, Saif Ali Khan openly shared his feelings about landing a significant chance to make his South cinematic debut alongside Jr NTR. The actor acknowledged the impressive accomplishments of Southern films over the years and expressed appreciation for being chosen to work on a project like Devara.

He expressed that he was genuinely thrilled about being offered a major film production in Andhra, which is part of the South Indian film industry. This industry has provided us with numerous outstanding films, and he believes that the future will see a fusion between the North and South industries. In other words, we might witness a pan-Indian movie scenario as you mentioned.

Additionally, Saif shared details about how director Koratala Siva had given him the role, considering his previous work in movies like Omkara. Saif elaborated further on his character, stating, “It’s essentially an anti-hero, a clear adversary. I found it incredibly enjoyable portraying this role. It wasn’t my first or debut in a new genre of filmmaking, but rather, I believe it represents the pinnacle of Indian cinema at the moment; it was a rewarding experience for me to be part of it.

He shared, “As I have said, a great, very friendly, welcoming person. We had a laugh on the first day and he visited in my van while I was waiting for a shot. And he made me feel so comfortable. We had a lovely laugh. He’s one of the most hospitable people I have worked with. He’s a very nice, down-to-earth guy.”
