Destiny 2 leaks show stunning new armor and cel-shader coming soon

As a dedicated Destiny 2 player with over five years of experience under my belt, I am beyond excited about what the new year has in store for us! After a rather challenging 2024, it feels like Bungie is finally listening to the community and delivering content that we’ve been craving. With leaks teasing new armor sets, particularly an Anubis-themed Titan set, I can hardly contain my enthusiasm.

The upcoming Revenant Act 3 and the annual Game2Give charity event are just the tip of the iceberg for what’s to come in January. And let me tell you, the cel-shader leak that reminds me of Marvel comic books has me itching to jump back into the game! I can only imagine how stunning my Guardian will look with that stylish new shader.

While I remain cautiously optimistic about the fate of Destiny 2, I can’t help but wonder if the low player count is a sign that the game might be on its last legs. But hey, as long as there are new armor sets and cel-shaders to collect, I’ll be there to grab ’em all!

Oh, and by the way, can you imagine if we could combine the Anubis-themed Titan set with that Marvel-inspired cel-shader? Now that would be a sight to behold – my Guardian would look like a walking, talking ancient Egyptian superhero!

2025 should be a significant year for Destiny 2 as it has faced numerous criticisms regarding its state, with 2024 being particularly challenging due to players’ discontent over the scarcity of new content and longstanding issues within the game. However, with the arrival of a fresh new year, we have exciting events to look forward to in January. Moreover, rumors suggest that Destiny 2 will unveil new armor designs and introduce a captivating cel-shader in the near future.

For the following 12 months, you can explore the Destiny 2 2025 blueprint to uncover Bungie’s upcoming plans. Kicking off in January, expect the Revenant Act 3 to ignite things, leading into a series of significant adjustments (buffs and nerfs) throughout the month. In February, we’re looking forward to the introduction of a fresh dungeon.

This month offers two thrilling events: The third act of the Revenant game promises excitement, and we’re also eagerly anticipating Bungie’s annual Game2Give charity event. Leaked information suggests that a unique cell-shader will be included in the charity fundraiser, while other leaks hint at potential new armor that could become part of Destiny 2 in the future.

New Destiny 2 armor leaks

Recently, Red Hot Creative Group, a Chinese outsourcing company known for its previous contributions to Destiny 2’s gear designs (like those seen in Crota’s End), uploaded some fresh armor designs on ArtStation.

Currently in December, they posted two incomplete collections of armor aesthetics as placeholders. These are just preliminary designs without final textures and color schemes applied to them.

Among the available armor sets, one appears to have an Anubis theme for Titans, while another is designed for Warlocks. Personally, I find the Anubis-themed armor for Titans more captivating, given that Anubis is a renowned Egyptian deity associated with the afterlife.

It’s not certain whether these designs represent abandoned ideas or ongoing projects that might get included in Destiny 2 at some point.

New cel-shader leaks

Though it’s unclear if or when the freshly released armor by Red Hot CG will appear in Destiny 2, other hints suggest a cell-shaded set will be launched during Bungie’s Game2Give charity event.

2025’s Game2Give kick-off is scheduled for January 23rd. A leaked graphic filter known as “offset” has been unveiled, which imparts an appealing style to in-game armor and weapons that strongly resembles the visual aesthetics of Marvel comics.

The exact price for the charity package isn’t certain yet, but it might be around $28, much like the Disciple’s Shell bundle from 2024.

For more Destiny 2, the low player count has sounded alarm bells that the game is dying.
