2025 promises an exciting lineup for Destiny 2 enthusiasts, as Bungie has announced enhancements and fresh abilities for Episode Heresy. Furthermore, the developer has given us a sneak peek at some stunning skins set to debut during this year’s Halloween event. While nothing is officially confirmed, rumors about Destiny 2 suggest that a much-desired feature may be in development, but there’s a possibility it could still be abandoned.
Destiny 2 shooting range leak
According to leaker Liz on Discord, it appears that Destiny 2’s Armsday is set to return, together with a shooting range. This information was shared by D2Leaks on X, and Liz asserts that the same source providing these leaks also disclosed the Frontiers spoilers which have now been verified as accurate.
Liz claims the following:
- Armsday returning at some point, weekly event like iron banner, not Wednesday, every week
- Shooting range set up by banshee
While the aforementioned projects are currently under development, Liz cautions that “it may take several months, and given the circumstances, it could potentially be abandoned.” Additionally, while it’s just speculation, Liz isn’t confident that this upcoming event, referred to as “armsday,” will resemble D1 in any significant way beyond sharing the same name.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the rumors swirling around regarding a potential new shooting range in our favorite game world. Ever since the Tribute Hall training ground was taken down, players like me have been longing for such an experience again. Fingers crossed that this turns out to be more than just speculation!
While a shooting range might seem insignificant at first glance, it would actually provide a valuable space for honing skills. It’s like having a place to trial weapons, both with and without enhancements, without being thrust into combat unprepared.
In response to the Reddit leaks, many fans expressed their displeasure with the possibility, “I’d be very upset if the shooting range is abandoned.” One user noted, “A decision to discard something that would generate positive player reactions would be a move characteristic of Bungie as they are known for it.
One user noted that “there’s an existing firing range at the Enclave on Mars,” but another user responded, “The Enclave’s firing range is disappointing and we require a more advanced facility where we can test our weapons, upgrades, and skills against various types of adversaries.
It’s really hoped that Bungie fulfills the wish of many gamers for a more detailed and dedicated shooting range they’ve asked for over years. The thought of it being abandoned is disheartening, yet, as of now, Bungie hasn’t made any formal announcements about this matter.
