2024 marks the start of Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost, with guardians from all corners of the cosmos eagerly preparing to immerse themselves in this year’s most chilling festivity!
Ever since it started in 2015, the Festival of the Lost has built up quite a buzz, giving players an opportunity to gather special prizes, sport fresh costumes, and enjoy spooky content set within the realm of Destiny during Halloween.
Exploring the eerie Lost Sectors, putting on unique event masks, and acquiring new weaponry provide an exciting assortment of things to anticipate!
When Does the Festival of the Lost Start?
The Festival of the Lost 2024 will begin on October 29, 2024, and run until November 19, 2024.
The gathering kicks off after the weekly refresh, happening at these specific moments based on your time zone:
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC): 5:00 PM
- Pacific Time (PT): 10:00 AM
- Eastern Time (ET): 1:00 PM
- British Summer Time (BST): 6:00 PM
- Central European Summer Time (CEST): 7:00 PM
- Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST): 3:00 AM (next day)

New Weapons
This year, we’re introducing just one new weapon, but we’re bringing back some much-loved weapons from past events as well.

New Armor Sets
Three new armor sets, each themed around wizards, will be available for Warlock, Titan, and Hunter:
- Hunter: Inspired by witchcraft and dark magic
- Warlock: Features elements of dark magic and sorcery
- Titan: Based on traditional “good” wizards

The experience of the Festival of the Lost wouldn’t feel quite right without some brand-new masks for the event this season. In total, there are eight unique masks up for grabs for players to add to their collection!

Haunted Sectors
As a thrill-seeking enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the star attraction of the 2024 Festival: the comeback of the chilling Haunted Sectors! These aren’t just any sectors; they’re familiar Lost Sectors, given a spooky makeover with Halloween-themed adversaries. Among them, you’ll find the adored boss, the Headless One. Overcoming these missions will shower you with Eerie Engrams, which are just what you need to customize and fine-tune event-specific weapons.
