Destiny 2 fans discover “huge” changes not listed in Heresy patch notes

As the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race approaches, Bungie has just launched Destiny 2’s Episode Heresy. This exciting collaboration with Star Wars led to the release of update 8.2.0, where Bungie detailed the adjustments made in the patch notes for the community to see. However, after a few days of playing Episode Heresy, Destiny 2 players have found “significant” modifications that were not mentioned in the patch notes.

Destiny 2 players discover secret Episode Heresy changes

On the Reddit forum dedicated to Destiny 2, user pipfan recently posted an entry entitled “The Redirection perk underwent numerous alterations that weren’t mentioned in the patch notes for update 8.2.0”. This implies a reference to the Episode Heresy update, and below are the modifications discovered by the poster:

  • Hitting a red bar now adds two redirection stacks instead of one
  • Redirection now stacks to 30 instead of 20
  • Shooting an elite or above enemy consumes only three stacks instead of five
  • Damage buff seems to be same as before, just now is gained faster, pre-patch one stack would be 20% more damage, and up to five stacks could be consumed at once for a 100% damage buff, now it’s 33% per stack and consumes at most 3 stacks for a 100% damage buff

Apart from what was previously mentioned, the original poster also delved into the advanced form of the Redirection skill. They explain that this upgrade modifies the perk so two stacks amount to a 100% damage boost (which is 50% per stack). With a maximum of 30 stacks, you can potentially amass up to 15 instances of double damage shots in reserve.

Following this recent development, players are overjoyed. One individual referred to these enhancements as a “significant boost,” while another exclaimed, “that’s absolutely fantastic.” Some users were also thrilled to find that Bungie’s update contained hidden improvements instead of hidden reductions.

I hope that the Redirection perk will not be reversed or weakened in the future, since players have shown a great deal of satisfaction with the improvements thus far.

In regards to further installments of Episode Heresy, recent gameplay leaks hint at the introduction of additional new weapons. Among these is the reappearance of a beloved Exotic weapon from earlier versions.
