Destiny 2 devs confirm incoming fix for unintended benefit from Super energy gains increase

As a seasoned Destiny 2 gamer with countless hours logged in the game, I must admit that Bungie’s latest update has been a rollercoaster ride. The excitement of Act II of Revenant and the Year 11 roadmap for 2025-2026 is tempered by the unintended benefits from the Super energy gains increase.

Previously, Bungie rolled out the details for Destiny 2’s update 8.1.5, which initiated Act II of Revenant and contained numerous changes in its patch. After the release of this update, Bungie has promised Destiny 2 gamers that they will soon rectify an unwanted advantage arising from the boost in Super energy gains.

Enthusiasts of Bungie have much to look forward to. Although some players are displeased with a perceived “disheartening” adjustment in update 8.1.5, there’s a wealth of activity happening within the Destiny universe. Bungie has unveiled their roadmap for Year 11, detailing content plans from 2025 through 2026. Next year is expected to bring the launch of Destiny Rising, a mobile spin-off game.

Currently, we’re savoring every moment of the recent update from Bungie, but our anticipation for Year 11 is already building up. The majority of this latest patch has been appreciated by the gaming community, however, there’s an issue that Bunge plans to address in the coming month.

Destiny 2 fix is incoming for unintended Super energy gains increase benefit

On their official Destiny 2 Team X social media platform, Bungie communicated to the community that they’ve noticed a problem: The golden gun version of Celestial Nighthawk seems to be gaining energy from the recent boost in energy for “roaming” supers, even though it wasn’t intended to do so.

According to Bungie, “This issue isn’t meant to occur”. They haven’t provided an exact date yet, but they aim to resolve it by early December.
