Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson have joined the cast of Here Comes the Flood.

Here Comes the Flood” is a fresh Netflix production that has been penned by Simon Kinberg and helmed by Fernando Meirelles. Both Kinberg and Meirelles, along with Audrey Chon, are also involved in producing this movie.

What else do we know about the new heist movie with Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s been reported that Daisy Edgar-Jones will join Washington and Pattinson as co-stars in the upcoming film.

The film is labeled as an unusual take on a heist genre, featuring a bank guard, a teller, and a skilled burglar who engage in a lethal dance of deceit and betrayal. The plot reportedly does not follow a traditional chronological sequence.

At present, more specific details about the storyline are being kept confidential. However, Samson Mucke is involved in the project as an executive producer.

Meirelles is primarily recognized for his collaborative work with Kátia Lund on the 2002 film City of God. He has also directed other movies such as The Constant Gardener (2005), Blindness (2008), 360 (2011), and The Two Popes (2019).

In the latest development, Washington has portrayed Macrinus in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, a film that hit the screens in 2024. Coming up next is his lead role in Spike Lee’s reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s classic movie High and Low, titled Highest 2 Lowest. This production, co-starring Ilfenesh Hadera, Jeffrey Wright, Ice Spice, and A$AP Rocky, is set to premiere in American theaters this August.

This year, Robert Pattinson appeared in Bong Joon Ho’s movie titled Mickey 17. In the future, you can expect him to feature in Lynne Ramsay’s film called Die, My Love, set to debut at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival alongside Jennifer Lawrence. Additionally, he will be part of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming production known as The Odyssey, slated for release in 2026.

In addition, Edgar-Jones is recognized for portraying Kate Carter in the 2024 movie Twisters. Her acting résumé expands to include roles in 2018’s Pond Life, 2022’s Fresh, 2022’s Where the Crawdads Sing, and 2025’s On Swift Horses.
