What is Den of Thieves 2: Pantera about?

In the narrative, the character Big Nick (Butler) is once again tracking his quarry, Donnie (Jackson), in Europe. Donnie finds himself entangled in the dangerous and volatile realm of diamond thieves, specifically the notorious Panther mafia. Together, they are scheming a grand theft from the world’s largest diamond exchange.

In this new film, Christian Gudegast takes on both writing and directing duties; he previously led the first movie in the series. Notably, Gudegast has also contributed to screenplays for “A Man Apart” (2003) and “London Has Fallen” (2016), where Butler was a leading actor.

In addition to Butler, Jackson Jr., and Michael Bisping, the cast of Den of Thieves 2 includes Salvatore Esposito, Orli Shuka, Evin Ahmad, Cristian Solimeno, Nazmiye Oral, Yasen Zates Atour, Giuseppe Schillaci, Dino Kelly, Rico Verhoeven, Velibor Topic, and Antonio Bustorff.

The Den of Thieves film, initially screened in U.S. cinemas during January 2018, turned out to be a significant financial success for STXfilms. With an estimated production budget of around $30 million, it grossed approximately $80.5 million worldwide. The cast included Pablo Schreiber, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, alongside Butler and Jr. (Jackson).

In the United States, “Den of Thieves 2: Panthera” will hit movie theaters on January 15, 2025, courtesy of Lionsgate Films.
