In simple terms, a key member of the development team behind Delta Force has announced that controller compatibility will soon be available for the game’s PC version. Initially designed for use with keyboard and mouse, the tactical shooter is now set to offer official support for controllers, as the developers understand that many players find them more preferable.
Delta Force controller support on PC
Currently, you can only enjoy playing Delta Force by using a controller, thanks to third-party applications. Although platforms such as Steam’s controller mapping service work well, they typically don’t match the quality of the original tools provided by the game developers.
According to Ricky Liao, the game’s Design Director, he couldn’t provide an exact timeline regarding when we might see controller support, but he emphasized that efforts are being made to make its usage feel intuitive and seamless.
He informed us that controller compatibility is in development for PC. Recognizing that many gamers prefer controllers, they’re dedicated to ensuring a smooth gaming experience regardless of the input method. They’re putting effort into designing an intuitive and responsive controller layout for PC that will feel comfortable and easy to use.
As a gamer, it’s no shocker to me that Team Jade is developing controller support. After all, their aim is clear: they want to expand the game to various platforms and maintain the hype they’ve built up.
We’re truly thrilled by the phenomenal turnout at the game launch. Witnessing numerous gamers relishing the experience has been absolutely delightful. We couldn’t have hoped for a more vibrant community. With a plethora of captivating content, we are committed to regular updates, innovative features, and engaging activities to keep our players enthralled.
In addition, we’re making efforts to expand the availability of Delta Force across multiple platforms, starting with a mobile release on April 21st. Console versions will follow shortly. Our dedication remains in maintaining this forward motion.
Additionally, Liao mentioned that there’s a chance advanced technologies like ray tracing and Multi-Frame Generation could be incorporated into the game at some point down the line. However, he clarified that these features probably won’t be included in the initial release of the game.
Working on a fresh Solo Mode for our Black Hawk Down campaign, and planning to produce additional standalone player versions, indicates that Delta Force is thriving and moving forward.
