At SXSW 2025, Kojima Productions’ panel saw Hideo Kojima reveal fresh insights about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. He offered a glimpse into the game’s narrative and mechanics, and he officially announced that Death Stranding 2 would hit shelves on June 26, 2025.
At SXSW 2025, we finally learned when Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be out following the premiere of a fresh 10-minute trailer. This sneak peek offered a detailed glimpse into the narrative, highlighting the turmoil that Sam Porter Bridges will encounter on his upcoming journey. Additionally, we get a closer look at Troy Baker’s character Higgs and Elle Fanning portraying Tomorrow, as well as some of the game’s novel settings.
In addition to Death Stranding 2, there’ll be a Collector’s Edition available as well. This special edition comes packed with exciting extras like a 15-inch Magellan Man statue, a 3-inch Dollman figurine, a personalized letter from Hideo Kojima, and an array of in-game items.
