As a longtime fan of Jennifer Garner‘s work, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see her reprise her iconic role as Elektra Natchios in Deadpool & Wolverine! Her return to the Marvel universe is not just a testament to her undeniable acting skills but also a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s when Daredevil graced our screens.
Jennifer Garner, winner of a Golden Globe award, has spoken up about her latest appearance as Elektra Natchios in Marvel Studios’ upcoming film featuring Deadpool and Wolverine. Previously, she portrayed the Marvel assassin in the 2003 Daredevil movie led by Ben Affleck. She also played the character again in a standalone Elektra movie in 2005.
What did Jennifer Garner say about return in Deadpool & Wolverine?
On Instagram, Elsa Garner has shared a training video for Deadpool and Wolverine, hinting at her readiness to reprise her role as Elektra. In her post, she disclosed that both Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy approached her about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe film during the making of their 2022 movie, The Adam Project.
“Garner recalled the instant when Shawn and Ryan brainstormed Elektra Natchios’ appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine – this was during The Adam Project filming set, and they exchanged one of their looks that can convey an entire conversation, a significant amount of dialogue, even secret codes. There seems to be an extraordinary creative connection between these two individuals,” (paraphrased version)
As someone who has had the privilege of working alongside some truly extraordinary individuals, I can confidently say that Shawn and Ryan have a unique gift for recognizing and elevating those around them. It was an absolute joy to be a part of the set of Elektra with these two talented actors, as well as my old friend Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, and Wesley Snipes. The energy on set was electric, and the camaraderie between us all made every day feel like a dream come true.

Who is the cast of Deadpool & Wolverine?
The movie Deadpool and Wolverine was helmed by director Shawn Levy, with screenplay contributions from Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. This third installment brings back Marvel’s stars such as Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. To date, the film has amassed a total gross of over $820 million at global box offices.
In the expanded cast, we have Emma Corrin from The Crown taking on the role of Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen from Succession joins as TVA agent Paradox. Joining them are returning characters played by Chris Evans reprising his Human Torch role, Wesley Snipes back as Blade, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Channing Tatum portraying Gambit.
