Dead By Daylight players must hurry with vote to decide future Killer and Survivor in cool mini-game

Looking forward to many thrilling chapters coming up in Dead By Daylight! In July 2025, we’ll have two survivors licensed from The Walking Dead joining us. Then, in September, we’re in for an original chapter inspired by Asian folklore. After that, another licensed episode is planned for November. While BeHaviour has some amazing plans, Dead By Daylight players can cast their votes right now in a fun mini-game to decide a future Killer and Survivor!

How to vote for future Dead By Daylight Killer and Survivor

Behaviour Interactive has unveiled “The Grimoire,” an interactive, online tale where the course of its narrative will determine the development of a future Killer and Survivor character, based on community input.

For the Survivor and the Killer, you need to develop their background stories and appearances. The story provided below offers various options for you to choose from:

Survivor:

A misty storm envelops you, sending shivers through your core and stinging your watering eyes. Each step feels burdensome, as if the gloom surrounds you infinitely in all directions. An instinctive urge within you compels you to continue moving, for halting now means certain doom.

Memories stubbornly resurface, slipping into the recesses of your mind. Some force has drawn you away – torn you from your familiar surroundings and thrust you into this perpetual nightscape of relentless tempests.

Tell me: Where is home? Where do you come from?

  • An ordinary World
    • My world is just like yours; familiar, mundane, and predictable
  • A Collapsed World
    • The apocalypse isn’t coming, it’s happening. My world is unravelling, swallowed whole by ruin and chaos
  • A Touched World
    • In my world, supernatural events are rare but undeniably real. Most people go their entire lives without witnessing them
  • An Arcane World
    • In my reality, what you call the arcane is our science, gods are fuel, and humanity believes it holds the rains

Killer:

You step out of the quietness, finding yourself surrounded by cold, stony structures – a chamber with ceilings, walls, and floors all crafted from stone. The figures standing around seem to be statues. Is this a tomb? A safekeeping place? Your mind feels dizzy.

When you try to stand up, you encounter a puddle that’s collected in an old, worn groove on the floor, right in front of you.

You gaze into the undulating water. The figure that gazes back at you is initially hard to discern. However, its silhouette – your own silhouette – gradually reveals itself.

Tell me: What shape do you see staring back at you?

  • Grounded
    • An unhinged, cold-blooded human, cruelty personified. Examples: The Legion, The Trapper, Serial Killer
  • Supernatural
    • A dark presence with powers unknown tied to a mysterious world. Examples: The Plague, The Wraith, The Vampire
  • Otherworldly
    • A maddening, incomprehensible horror from beyond reality. Examples: The Dredge, The Unknown, Eldritch Abomination
  • Chimeric
    • A twisted creation of nature, somewhat natural, definitely monstrous. Examples: The Artist, The Singularity, Werewolf

Make sure to cast your vote by 9AM Pacific Time, 12PM Eastern Time or 5PM British Summer Time on June 30th. Don’t fret if you miss it as there will be another chance to vote approximately every two weeks, likely the week of July 14th.

In the end, whether we’ll have a Killer or a Survivor will depend on the choices the community makes. We can’t wait to find out the outcome, as it could either unleash a fearsome monster or, more probably, reveal a captivating succubus.
