Dead by Daylight has been fortunate to host some fantastic partnerships, with FNAF being the most significant so far. Behaviour Interactive has announced additional content for Five Nights At Freddy’s is on the horizon. Other large-scale franchises such as Resident Evil, Castlevania, Tomb Raider, and Alien have also entered the scene, with more licenses set to join in the future. In addition, the developers of Dead by Daylight have expressed a desire for dream collaborations with a renowned J-horror series, as well as the creators of Bloodborne, FromSoftware.
Dead By Daylight confirms wanting collaboration with J-horror and FromSoftware
As an ardent fan, I had the thrill of joining the lively Q&A hosted by BeHaviour on the FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy’s) Discord to commemorate the release of the new chapter! Sadly, the live session is no longer available for viewing, but fortunately, answers from BeHaviour Interactive have been graciously shared with us on platform X.
According to FNaF4DBD, the team behind Dead By Daylight has disclosed potential collaboration partners they’re interested in working with in the future. The list allegedly features these names:
- Tekken
- Inscryption
- Fatal Frame
- Faith
Moreover, the developers also showed interest in working together with FromSoftware; however, they didn’t disclose any particular game they had in mind.

Considering the information provided, Fatal Frame could be an excellent fit for Dead by Daylight (DBD). It’s an outstanding Japanese horror video game series, and its narrative structure makes it suitable for adoption as a chapter in DBD. With various potential leading ladies like Yuri Kozukata serving as the survivor, the game’s atmosphere would undoubtedly enrich the DBD experience.
In terms of suitability, Bloodborne seems to be the standout choice from FromSoftware, given its deep roots in horror gaming. While all FromSoftware titles have a hint of horror, Bloodborne undeniably stands out as the most horrifying among them. Its dark, gothic aesthetics are truly remarkable, and if collaborations with DBD (Dead by Daylight) were based on popularity, Bloodborne would surely rank alongside Resident Evil and FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy’s).
Keep in mind that these collaborations are just concepts discussed among the developers, not yet confirmed projects. Among all the games mentioned, Fatal Frame seems to be the one fans are most eager for, but every game boasts a substantial fanbase.
