DD Next level trailer and storyline
The introductory trailer of DD Next Level presents Santhanam in the role of a movie critic, summoned to attend an exclusive preview show at a distant cinema. However, events take an unexpected twist as he gets enigmatically drawn into another reality. In this peculiar universe, Selvaraghavan seems to be out for retribution against Santhanam due to his critical film reviews. Along with Rajendran, Santhanam embarks on an adventure to navigate this alien environment.
In addition to other cast members, Gautham Vasudev Menon appears as character Raghavan in the trailer. However, the film playfully denies any connection to Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu despite their shared name. Santhanam humorously mocks Redin Kingsley using a Jailer reference and later breaks the fourth wall by criticizing common movie tropes.
The visuals additionally depict the characters venturing into a spooky palace and Gautham Menon grooving on the beach to Uyirin Uyire from Suriya’s Kaakha Kaakha. In essence, the trailer suggests a whimsical, self-referential horror-comedy that is rich with pop culture allusions and plenty of humor.
