DCU’s Batman Gets a Surprise Candidate in This WWE Star

Although DC Studios hasn’t officially revealed the cast for its upcoming Brave and Bold film, WWE veteran Randy Orton recently voiced his desire to portray Batman in the new DC Universe. As of now, the movie doesn’t have a scheduled release date, but it is expected to be the introduction of Batman in the DCU when it eventually premieres.

Randy Orton wants to play Batman in DCU’s The Brave and the Bold

Recently, in an online conversation, professional wrestler Randy Orton showed interest in potentially assuming the role of Batman in the upcoming movie adaptation of The Brave and the Bold.

On July 12th, Orton made clear on X (previously known as Twitter) his desire to participate in James Gunn’s DCU as Batman. He shared a query from ScreenTime which asked, “Who do you believe should play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU?”, accompanied by a waving hand emoji, suggesting that he was prepared to portray Bruce Wayne in future projects within the DC Universe.

Regarding the suggestion of Orton playing Batman, fans had varied reactions. However, Xavier Woods, another WWE wrestler (known as Austin Creed), expressed his support by saying, “I’m all for it.” He even hinted at wanting to portray a popular DC villain in Gunn’s cinematic universe, adding, “If you need a Riddler, I’ve got you covered.

At present, Randy Orton boasts a limited number of acting experiences under his belt. Apart from his supporting roles in That’s What I Am (2011), Changeland (2019) and the Shooter series, it is worth noting that he has starred in two action films so far: 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded and The Condemned 2.

At this moment, neither James Gunn nor DC Studios have chimed in on Randy Orton’s social media post suggesting he might suit up as Batman in the DC Universe. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and eagerly awaiting any updates!
