DBD August 2024 roadmap – everything coming out so far

As a long-time Dead By Daylight (DBD) gamer with hundreds of hours under my belt, I’m thrilled to share my perspective on the upcoming August 2024 content roadmap for this beloved survival horror game. July was an exciting month filled with new additions like Lara Croft as a survivor and the debut of cross-progression across platforms, but we’re far from done!

Dead by Daylight had a great July with noteworthy additions. We welcomed Lara Croft as a survivor and experienced the launches of cross-progression and the 2v8 mode event. Though we’ve enjoyed this month, there’s more excitement to come in August. Here is a sneak peek into the confirmed plans for the Dead by Daylight August 2024 roadmap, as shared unofficially before Behaviour announces their official schedule.

As a dedicated fan of Dead By Daylight, I’m thrilled that the much-anticipated 2v8 event has finally started! With only a little over a week left before it ends on August 8th, I strongly urge all players to jump in and make the most of this exciting mode.

We’re thrilled and cannot contain our excitement for both The Casting of Frank Stone from Supermassive Games and the upcoming CastleVania chapter in Dead by Daylight. According to the game’s August 2024 roadmap, we can look forward to these additions, along with some intriguing new skin collections.

Dead By Daylight August 2024 roadmap so far

As a long-time fan of Dead by Daylight, I’m always excited to learn about upcoming content and updates. Based on the information provided, here’s my take on the August 2024 roadmap:

  • Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode – July 25th to August 8th
  • Forgotten Memory Collection skins – July 30th
    • Feng Min skin
  • Horrors from the Deep Collection – August 6th
    • Skins for The Dredge and The Blight
  • DBD CastleVania news – August 6th
    • Expected public-test build launch
  • Noir Collection – August 13th
    • Skins for Jane, Jonah, Haddie
  • Alien Romulus Collection – August 16th
    • New Legendary Rain outfit for Ellen Ripley

During the July 16th livestream preview in 2v8 mode, all skin collections and dates were validated. Regarding Castlevania, BeHaviour’s teaser mentioned “find out more on August 6th.” We anticipate that the public-test build for Steam users will be released on this date as well. We will keep you informed when BeHaviour shares their official schedule for August.

Using the Horrors from the Deep Collection, this set is designed specifically for The Blight and The Dredge. It draws inspiration from underwater mythology and monstrous creatures. During a recent live stream (2v8), Behaviour expressed the possibility of revisiting this theme if it receives a positive response from the community.

As a gamer, I can tell you that the Noir collection takes me back to the classic detective games with its monochrome design. On the other hand, the Alien: Romulus Collection is perfectly timed for the release of the new movie in cinemas on August 16th. In this latest update, Rain, portrayed by Cailee Spaney, is the new protagonist, and her likeness is incorporated into the game, unlike the Ellen Ripley skin that fails to capture Sigourney Weaver’s essence.

In the final update regarding Dead By Daylight’s collaboration with CastleVania, no official confirmation has been made yet, but it’s rumored that the public-test build on Steam will be available starting August 6th. Behaviour Interactive hasn’t disclosed any additional details besides the crossover event itself. However, the teaser image hints at the appearance of Dracula, who was previously unintentionally revealed as a potential killer character.

Dracula has been identified as the antagonist, but no one has leaked the identity of the survivor in “Castlevania.” On Reddit, fans are heavily debating the survivor’s potential name, with Alucard, Richard, and Simon Belmont being the top contenders. According to the 2027 plan, there will only be a villain and a survivor – implying that we won’t get to explore Dracula’s castle as an intricately designed map.
