Actress Alison Sweeney, known for her role as Vitali Braun on Days of Our Lives, announced her departure from the series on Instagram a day before its scheduled last episode on April 3. Initially, fans speculated it to be an April Fool’s prank, but Sweeney confirmed in her post that she is indeed leaving the show.

Ava is saying goodbye to Days in the coming week, as her final days are upon us. Despite my absence since July last year, you can continue to see Ava on your screens until April 3rd! Who joined Days of Our Lives cast in April 2025?

Alice Halsey will take on the role of Rachel Black, while Marissa Reyes has been cast as Arianna Horton within the Days of Our Lives (DOOL) series starting from April 2025.

  • Halsey as Rachel debuted on the Thursday, April 24 episode. In a short interview with DOOL Peacock on Instagram, she shared that she didn’t know many details about her character before joining the show. “I did not know a lot about my character before I entered the show, but already it’s been super duper fun and I’m having such a great time. It is a lot of work, but we prep a lot, and practicing it always, always will help,” she added.
  • In April 2025, it was announced that Reyes would be taking over the teenage version of Arianna Horton. She is on a multi-month story contract and joined the cast this May. Her character was last seen in February 2023. She and Sonny relocated temporarily to New Zealand to live with Will.
