It’s clarified that he isn’t there to discuss Bo’s drug issue; rather, he has another matter to share with Kayla. After their conversation, he leaves in a rage. Upon Steve’s arrival, he seeks to discuss matters related to drugs and requests Kayla’s support. Thus, the conversation between Steve and Kayla in DOOL revolves around drug-related topics.
Why does Steve visit Kayla in Days of Our Lives?
In the soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” Steve pops by Kayla’s place to get the lowdown on the drug Dr. Russell invented in his lab.
Before their meeting, Doctor Russell drops by Kayla’s workspace. He discloses that his visit isn’t about Bo’s medication usage, but to share some personal news – he’s departing. Yet, Kayla seems reluctant to let him go. She suspects that his suspicion lies in her desire for retribution because he declined to permit her drug use, which is why she won’t allow him to leave. However, Kayla refutes these accusations, and eventually, Dr. Russell exits the office.
A short while later, Steve steps into Kayla’s workplace. She shares with him Dr. Russell’s proposal to present their new drug to a prominent pharmaceutical corporation. Steve promptly inquiries if he could examine Dr. Russell’s study materials regarding this drug. Yet, Kayla expresses some reservations and queries Steve about his underlying motives. Steve then explains that he is simply eager to deepen his understanding of the research pertaining to this specific medication.
I asked Kayla to take a breather while I go over some findings, and she admits feeling powerless and expresses regret for her actions. She mentions she must wrap up our chat since she’s got a team meeting coming up. In an attempt to lighten the mood, I propose grabbing something from the cafeteria and leaving it on my desk if she isn’t back in time.
