Austin Reed’s character was initially created by Muldoon in 1992. Since then, the part has been shared between Muldoon and actor Austin Peck over the years. Muldoon portrayed Austin from 1992 to 1995, with Peck taking over from 1995 until 2002 and then again from 2005 to 2006. Later, Muldoon returned to play the role from 2011 to 2012, and he reprised it once more in the 2021 limited series Beyond Salem.
The fact that Austin wasn’t present at Carrie’s latest appearance in Salem has sparked curiosity among viewers.
