Jennifer Lynch, David Lynch’s daughter, recently posted a picture on social media of her father’s grave. She is known for directing films like “Boxing Helena” and “Jessica Jones”, and she invited fans to visit the site if it was possible for them.
What did David Lynch’s daughter say about the gravesite?
Jennifer Lynch recently posted a picture showing David’s grave located at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in LA. The inscription on his tombstone reads “Night Blooming Jasmine,” symbolizing an interview Lynch gave back in 2016, where he discussed his experiences of smelling jasmines as they bloomed during nocturnal travels around Los Angeles.
Speaking to AnOther Magazine, Lynch noted, “When approaching Los Angeles at night, the city is ablaze with lights stretching as far as the eye can see – it’s breathtakingly beautiful.” He continued, “This swift scene holds within it locations that evoke memories.
On a warm evening, be it summer or early spring, driving to specific locations, you may catch a whiff of night-blooming jasmine – a scent that seems to bring Clark Gable or Gloria Swanson back to life. The era of classic Hollywood continues to pulse within these streets, embedded in the very essence of the city.
In her Instagram post, Jennifer Lynch invited followers to drop by whenever it was convenient for them, since she too intended to do the same.
