Daryl Dixon season 2 finale - Where did everyone end up?

As a die-hard fan of The Walking Dead universe, I must say that the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been nothing short of exhilarating! The journey through France, with its twists, turns, and emotional rollercoasters, has truly tested our beloved characters.

In simpler terms, the storyline involving Daryl Dixon (from The Walking Dead) has concluded the ‘Carol’ chapter of the series. The second season’s six episodes were quite an adventure, and the finale laid the groundwork for the third season, which is currently being filmed in Spain.

In the initial two seasons of the television series spinoff of The Walking Dead, Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, meets numerous new characters. Some of these individuals unfortunately met their demise during their journey, but he also formed many new bonds. This season has also brought back Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) to the narrative and her fellow traveler Ash (Manish Dayal).

Audience members can hardly contain their anticipation for future episodes since at the end of the season, Daryl and Carol left France through the Chunnel. Their journey doesn’t end there though; they plan to travel to Spain. However, before they reach Spain, they are bound to make a “noteworthy stop” in England first.

What happens to the characters in Daryl Dixon season 2 finale?

Carol and Daryl manage to persevere despite the vivid hallucinations triggered by their exposure to bat guano in the Chunnel. These intense, emotional visions served as a means for them to confront and cope with past traumas. Their next destination will be England, followed by Spain.

In a previous installment, Isabelle emerged as a significant figure in Daryl’s odyssey across France. During his dreams or visions, she would appear to him, offering encouragement for him to persist on his chosen course.

Ash and Laurent managed to escape France using Ash’s private aircraft. Their intended destination was the United States, specifically the Commonwealth. Daryl desired for Laurent to have a typical life outside of France, where people perceived him as some sort of messiah. The Commonwealth would provide him with a more settled existence, allowing him to make friends his own age, attend school, and much more.

Fallou encountered a woman named Akila, and their encounter set him on a course to stay in France with her, as they sought her sister Djamila together. As the head of the Montmartre Rooftop Community, he played a crucial role in safeguarding Laurent and facilitating his departure from France securely.

In this series, Codron held the largest transformation arc. Initially, driven by the belief that Daryl had killed his brother Michel, he was determined to seek vengeance. His actions became increasingly unforgivable as the story unfolded. However, when he met Laurent, there was a shift in him. By the finale, Codron also started experiencing illusions in the Chunnel, and he was last seen pursuing a ghostly image of his deceased brother.

In this current season, Genet, Losang, Anna, and Jacinta each took on roles as antagonists. Regrettably, they all met their end while standing firm by their convictions, although it’s worth noting that some of these beliefs underwent significant distortions throughout the course of events.

In the second installment of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” viewers were treated to a highly anticipated reunion between Carol and Daryl. Their narrative will carry forward in season 3, slated for release on AMC and AMC+ in the year 2025.
