As a fan of captivating storytelling and exceptional performances, I am beyond thrilled about Clémence Poésy’s upcoming role in “King and Conqueror.” Her journey from portraying Fleur Delacour in the magical world of Harry Potter to battling it out on the battlefield of Hastings is nothing short of mesmerizing.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “I jumped into the world of The Walking Dead, taking on the role of Isabelle alongside Daryl (Norman Reedus) in ‘The Book of Carol’. This was my first encounter in France, and let me tell you, it was quite a ride! You might recognize me from my stint as Fleur Delacour in several Harry Potter films. Up next, I’ll be appearing in the historical drama ‘King and Conqueror’, airing on both BBC and CBS.
The story unfolds about Harold from Wessex and William from Normandy, two individuals who were fated to cross paths at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. This series portrays a confrontation that shaped the course of a nation for millennia, an event that spanned over several decades through two intertwined royal families. Initially holding no ambition for the British throne, they found themselves drawn into a struggle due to external circumstances and personal desire, vying for control of its monarchy.
The eight-episode series showcases James Norton (known for roles in Little Women, Mr. Jones, and Happy Valley) portraying Harold, the Earl of Wessex, alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (recognized from Game of Thrones, Mama, Oblivion), who plays William, the Duke of Normandy. Interestingly, Coster-Waldau will also take on directing duties for one episode and collaborate as an executive producer with Norton.

Clémence Poésy other roles
Actress Clémence Poésy made her debut in English acting as Mary, Queen of Scots in the BBC miniseries “Gunpowder, Treason, & Plot” (2004). This performance earned her the Golden FIPA award for best actress in a TV Series or Serial in 2005.
Initially, she played Fleur Delacour in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” released in 2005, and she repeated this role in both parts of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” She acted alongside Colin Farrell, along with fellow Harry Potter cast members Ralph Fiennes and Brendan Gleeson, in the Academy Award-nominated film “In Bruges” which came out in 2008.
Apart from these, she’s acted in shows like Gossip Girl, 127 Hours, Lullaby for Pi, and others. Notably, her latest appearances include the biographical drama Resistance alongside Jesse Eisenberg and the sci-fi thriller Tenet, featuring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson.
Poesy Monroe left an indelible mark on “The Walking Dead” franchise by depicting Isabelle, the woman who shared Daryl Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) first on-screen kiss. She portrayed this character in seasons 1 and 2 of the spinoff series.
She’s also appearing in a new project with Frank Dillane from Fear the Walking Dead, along with Tom Hiddleston and Claire Danes, in the AppleTV+ miniseries titled The Essex Serpent.
