Darshan Thoogudeepa skips court hearing of Renukaswamy case; spotted attending film screening in Bengaluru

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa from Kannada, currently released on bail following accusations of being the main suspect in the continuing Renukaswamy murder investigation, has attracted attention due to his absence at a previously arranged court appointment.

Recently, there’s been another wave of discussion surrounding him due to his attendance at the premiere of the latest movie “Vaamana,” featuring Dhanveer Gowda, in Bengaluru last night.

During the premiere, numerous photos and videos of the actor were posted on social media, showcasing him at the screening. However, a fan-posted video captures Darshan leaving the theater. As photographers converged upon him, he appeared to be walking with a slight limp, yet sporting a smile.

In case you haven’t heard, Darshan Thoogudeepa, together with Pavithra Gowda and their fellow defendants in the Renukaswamy homicide case, received bail from a court in Bengaluru as far back as December 2024.

Initially, he received temporary release from prison due to his complaints about acute back pain that necessitated prompt spinal surgery. Yet, the court did not receive any additional information on his subsequent medical care.

It’s stated that Darshan faced accusations concerning the demise of his fan, Renukaswamy, aged 33, who reportedly sent inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, a rumored associate and actress, whom he is said to have had an intimate relationship with.
