Darshan Thoogudeepa case: NCR filed against Jailed actor for allegedly threatening producer; report

As a long-time fan of Darshan Thoogudeepa, I must admit that this latest turn of events has left me quite bewildered and disheartened. From the action-packed films he graced our screens with to his seemingly larger-than-life persona, I had always admired the man. But now, seeing him embroiled in yet another legal scandal, it’s hard not to feel a pang of disappointment.

Darshan Thoogudeepa, a popular Kannada actor, is facing more legal issues as a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) has been filed against him. He’s currently in jail for the alleged murder of his fan Renukaswamy. This new development adds to his ongoing judicial custody in Bellary prison.

According to a News 18 report, film producer Bharath has alleged that an actor threatened him. This incident was reported to the police station in Kengeri on October 18, 2024, and the complaint also involves Darshan Thoogudeepa’s manager, Nagaraj. For those who may not be aware, Bharat is a well-known producer in the Kannada film industry.

In the recent developments, Darshan Thoogudeepa, under accusation for murdering his fan Renukaswamy, was not granted bail on October 14. Simultaneously, the court also rejected bail for Pavithra Gowda, who is rumored to be his partner. As per the most recent updates, the Kannada actor has appealed to a higher court and submitted a plea for bail, aiming to overturn the earlier decision made by the lower court.

As a dedicated follower of the latest updates, I can share that a fresh bail plea by Darshan Thoogudeepa, as stated in Times Now, seeks an immediate hearing at the Karnataka High Court. Similarly, co-accused and actress Pavithra Gowda has submitted her own bail request. It is expected that the court will address this matter by October 22, 2024. For those unaware, Darshan Thoogudeepa stands accused of brutally killing Renukaswamy due to his alleged inappropriate messages towards Pavithra Gowda.

According to news sources, the imprisoned actor is said to have arranged for the abduction of Renukaswamy and confined him in a small structure. There, along with his associates including Darshan, they allegedly subjected him to severe abuse before ultimately taking his life. On June 9, 2024, the body of Renukaswamy was found by local law enforcement near a storm drain in the Sumanahalli area of Bangalore.

Additionally, an autopsy found that the unfortunate individual was missing an ear, had burst testicles, and bore numerous wounds and bruises scattered across his body.
