Dark and Darker Mobile soft launches in Canada, will release globally this year

Since approximately 2023, Dark and Darker Mobile has been under development by publisher Krafton and developers at Bluehole. It appears that the mobile adaptation of this widely-played fantasy harvesting game is about to soft launch in Canada. Although it’s not region-locked, the publishers are aiming for a global launch during the first half of 2025.

This week, Krafton revealed on social media the details for the soft launch of Dark and Darker Mobile. The soft launch is set to begin in Canada on February 5, 2025, with both Android and Apple users able to download the game via Google Play and the App Store respectively. Following this initial release, gamers can look forward to updates about the worldwide launch over the coming months, with a full global release anticipated before June 30, 2025.

2023 saw the unexpected debut of “Dark” and “Darker”, created by IRONMACE. However, there were disputes regarding unauthorized use of assets, with Nexon attempting to claim ownership. IRONMACE refuted these allegations, but temporarily the game was removed from Steam. In response, they reintroduced it on their own proprietary platform. It later returned to Steam and also became available on the Epic Games Store. Interestingly, Krafton and Bluehole have been working on a mobile version instead of IRONMACE.
