Daredevil & Wilson Fisk Won’t Share a Lot of Screen Time in Born Again

As a seasoned gamer and ardent fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I must admit that the revelation about Daredevil: Born Again has left me a tad perplexed, yet intrigued. The Netflix shows’ portrayal of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk was nothing short of riveting, a true testament to the acting prowess of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Their on-screen dynamic was electric, their confrontations were explosive, and their camaraderie, when it occasionally surfaced, was poignant.

In the popular Netflix Marvel series, one of Matt Murdock/Daredevil’s crucial relationships was with Vincent D’Onofrio’s character, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. However, actor Charlie Cox has shared that there will be fewer scenes featuring these two characters in the upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again,” suggesting a possible change in their interaction dynamics.

Daredevil: Born Again will only have a few scenes with Matt Murdock and Kingpin together

In a recent chat, Cox shared that his and D’Onofrio’s characters will not share numerous scenes in Daredevil: Born Again. This was also true for their interaction on the Netflix series, surprisingly enough, given they are often portrayed as sworn adversaries.

Cox stated to Collider that these characters seem destined for conflict if they ever meet. The encounters between them would likely result in a massive confrontation, almost explosive. Therefore, when creating the show, it’s crucial to either minimize their time together or provide strong reasons why they wouldn’t interact often.

The highly anticipated series, “Daredevil: Born Again,” will bring Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock/Daredevil back into the spotlight within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Previously known for his role in Netflix’s Daredevil and its related shows, this visually impaired superhero also made supporting appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) and Echo (2024), and even made a brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Moreover, Cox will continue to voice Daredevil in the forthcoming animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

As a gaming enthusiast diving into the Marvel Universe, I’m excited about Daredevil: Born Again focusing more on expanding the intricate narratives rather than just Murdock and Fisk’s dynamic. This move will create an intense build-up whenever these two characters cross paths.

On March 4, 2025, Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+. Alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, the cast also features Margarita Levieva portraying Heather Glenn, Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle / Punisher, and Deborah Ann Woll returning as Karen Page.
