Charlie Cox has shared some thoughts regarding a potential Daredevil solo MCU movie.
Charlie Cox has portrayed Matt Murdock since 2015, marking the debut of the Netflix Daredevil series. Over three seasons, he also played a crucial part in the 2017 mini-series The Defenders. After that, he appeared in minor roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), and Echo (2024). However, the Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again series only recently premiered this March.
What did Charlie Cox say about a Daredevil MCU movie?
During an interview with Scott Mantz at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s talk series, Cox was inquired about the requirements needed for Daredevil to secure a standalone MCU movie.
As for your question, I’m afraid I’m not the right person to turn to. To be honest, I’m clueless about it. You should probably consult the adults instead. Truth be told, I enjoy being in the dark about things like this.
Cox continued by expressing, “To put it simply, I’m overjoyed and can’t contain my excitement. I’m ecstatic to be here. Narrating in long-form is a joy for me. Moreover, being part of the series gives us the unique opportunity to watch the first two episodes on the big screen at the start of each season. This aspect, especially for the pilot which feels incredibly cinematic, is something I wish more people could experience. But, for now, let’s just write letters.
At present, there’s no confirmed news about Cox appearing in any future Marvel Studios film. However, a second season of Daredevil: Born Again is being developed, and it will feature Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil, with Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones alongside him.
The first season of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again is streaming on Disney+.
