Recently, during an engaging conversation, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, the captivating actress who plays Devi Vishwakumar in Never Have I Ever, shared insights about her character BB’s determination to unmask Kingpin’s corrupt actions in Daredevil: Born Again.

In her remarks, Genneya Walton emphasized BB’s determination to uncover the truth for all to see, mirroring the approach of her character’s deceased uncle. She described a contemporary journalist as someone who is strategically and persistently working against Wilson Fisk.

In a recent chat with Inverse, the actress praised BB’s beliefs in Daredevil: Born Again, expressing her admiration for her character’s high level of integrity and self-sacrifice. She also mentioned that her character values “speaking truth to power,” as she is well aware of the challenges and dangers she faces, yet understands the significance of unveiling the truth no matter what the outcome may be.

Later on, Walton pointed out that BB would continue her uncle’s mission in Daredevil: Born Again, stating, “She’s playing a long-term strategy. She’s definitely picking up the torch and trying to complete what her uncle didn’t.” For those who are not familiar, BB is the niece of Ben Urich, a principled journalist portrayed by Vondie Curtis-Hall in Netflix’s Daredevil series. Unfortunately, Urich was killed by the Kingpin because of his relentless pursuit to expose New York City’s widespread corruption.

Genneya Walton’s character BB will reappear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, but she was tight-lipped about her role in the upcoming series, merely saying, “I can’t reveal much.” The second season is tentatively scheduled for release on Disney+ in Spring 2026.
