Daredevil: Born Again Star Reportedly Cast in MCU Avengers Movie

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel fan with a decade-long journey through the ever-expanding MCU, I can hardly contain my excitement at the news that Charlie Cox will be joining the Avengers ensemble! Having followed Daredevil’s gripping storyline since its inception on Netflix, it feels surreal to see the Man Without Fear stepping up to fight alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

From his gritty portrayal of Matt Murdock in Daredevil and The Defenders, to his electrifying cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Charlie Cox has consistently delivered an unforgettable performance that resonates with fans. His upcoming roles in the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Daredevil: Born Again only serve to heighten the anticipation for his MCU return.

While it remains a mystery which of the forthcoming Avengers movies Cox will appear in, I am eagerly awaiting both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, directed by the accomplished Russo brothers. The prospect of watching Charlie Cox’s Daredevil team up with the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and the Fantastic Four is beyond exhilarating!

Now, if only they could find a way to bring back my beloved Agent Coulson… maybe he can make a cameo as a hologram or something? After all, nothing lasts forever, but a good joke can live on indefinitely!

Daredevil’s Charlie Cox will seemingly star in at least one of the forthcoming MCU Avengers movies.

Charlie Cox has portrayed Matt Murdock in every season of the Netflix series Daredevil and in The Defenders. He resurrected the character in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from 2022, and Echo in 2024. Prior to the debut of the new Daredevil series, Daredevil: Born Again, coming this March, Cox will voice the Man Without Fear on the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man show.

Based on a post on Instagram by DFRNT Health and Fitness – a gym and fitness center located in Australia – it’s been announced that Cox will join the cast of an upcoming Avengers film as part of an ensemble.

Over the past few weeks, it’s been fantastic having Charlie Cox (and his wife, Sam) here at DFRNT! Charlie is now preparing for his part in the upcoming Marvel Avengers film as Daredevil. It’s been a joy collaborating with you both, and we’re eagerly anticipating seeing you on the big screen!

Will Daredevil’s Charlie Cox be in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars?

As of now, it remains uncertain whether Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will be featured in the 2026 movie “Avengers: Doomsday” or the 2027 film “Avengers: Secret Wars,” or possibly both. Neither project has started production at this point in time.

The Russo Brothers, who are behind the helm of both projects titled Doomsday and Secret Wars, have a history with Marvel Studios as they directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

In a surprising twist for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans, Robert Downey Jr., who previously played Tony Stark (Iron Man), is set to join upcoming Avengers events, but this time as the villainous Doctor Doom instead of his iconic character, Tony Stark, who met his end in Avengers: Endgame. The principal cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Additionally, it was recently revealed that Chris Evans will feature in the role of Doomsday in some capacity.

On May 1, 2026, the movie “Avengers: Doomsday” will hit theaters across the United States, and then, a year later, on May 7, 2027, you’ll find “Avengers: Secret Wars” in cinemas. Both films are from Marvel Studios.
