Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s Charlie Cox Gives Exciting Filming Update

The much-anticipated “Daredevil: Born Again” series is slated for release on Disney+ in March, but interestingly, Marvel revealed back in August last year that it will have a second season. In a recent chat, Charlie Cox, the actor playing the titular superhero, shared some insights into when Season 2 will begin filming.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to begin filming sooner than you think

At FAN EXPO San Francisco, Charlie Cox was spotted alongside Wilson Bethel, known for his role as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter. Interestingly, Cox disclosed that production for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 would kick off even before the premiere of the initial season.

Cox expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s been such a long time since we’ve produced any Daredevil content, but I can hardly wait!” He further explained, “By the time we launch [Born Again] on March 4th, we’ll be well into Season 2 production. In essence, it’s like receiving a continuous present.

Back when Daredevil’s Netflix run was abruptly ended, I found myself going through a rollercoaster of emotions – a mix of shock and sadness. We had high hopes for season 4, but it never came to be. I remember the moment I got the call, it felt like someone was pulling the rug out from under me. “It’s over,” they said. “It’s all done.” It was a bit like going through a breakup, in a strange sort of way.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 could arrive in 2026

During Cox’s visit to FAN EXPO, he didn’t provide specific information about when Daredevil Season 2 might be available. But since filming for the show is expected to resume in or before March 2025, it could be possible that we see the second season as early as 2026.

At the same function, Cox stated that he didn’t plan on quitting the role of Daredevil any time soon; however, he conceded that it was likely that this would occur in the future.
