Who is the latest addition to the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 cast?
According to the fitness coach of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio on Instagram, it has been announced that Royce Johnson, who played Detective Brett Mahoney in the original Daredevil series, will reprise his role in Season 2 of Born Again. In the original show, Mahoney worked alongside Foggy Nelson and Matt Murdock to investigate Wilson Fisk and other legal matters. He is also an ally to Daredevil. Previously, Johnson’s character has made appearances in other Netflix Defenders shows, such as Jessica Jones and The Punisher.

In the show “Daredevil: Born Again,” Dario Scardapane is both the executive producer and the showrunner. The star-studded cast features Charlie Cox portraying Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/ Bullseye, Margarita Levieva as Heather, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Nikki M. James as Kirsten, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Michael Gandolfini as Daniel.
In Season 2, we’ll see newcomers Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor join the cast, alongside the return of Marvel favorite Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. This marks Ritter’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the conclusion of her Netflix series in 2019. With Ritter’s casting, fans have been buzzing with theories that other members of The Defenders might make an appearance too, such as Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.
