In March 2016, Elodie Yung first appeared as Elektra Natchios in Netflix’s second season of Daredevil, and later in The Defenders. Now, with many familiar characters set to return in the upcoming Daredevil series, viewers are excitedly looking forward to her possible reappearance too.

Sana Amanat, a Marvel Studios executive producer known for her work on titles such as Ms Marvel and Daredevil: Born Again, has discussed the potential comeback of Elodie Yung as Elektra, potentially alongside the enigmatic Hand organization.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Amanat hinted that there may be a possibility of Elektra and the Hand being incorporated into the series, stating, “We definitely have it on our minds for future plans.” Elektra played a significant role in Daredevil’s life during the Netflix series, and Yung’s portrayal of Elektra developed a romantic relationship with Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox.
In a 2016 conversation with Business Insider, Cox described Elektra as both “thrilling” and “perilous.” He went on to say that their relationship was a complex mix of the wonderful and terrible, offering both life and destruction at once.
In an interview with TooFab in March 2024, Elodie Yung hinted at her eagerness to resume the role of Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again. She stated, “I’d be thrilled about it! It’s amusing because my fans keep asking, ‘Can you come back?’ And I reply, ‘Ask Marvel,’ as it’s Marvel who holds the key to that; if they ask me, I’d happily reprise this role. Elektra is fierce, she’s a sociopath, and she’s a blast to play.
