It was emphasized that the reference mattered significantly. The Twitter account of the Phase Hero podcast’s official administrator stated, “A Times Square billboard in the Daredevil trailer hints at Harlem’s Paradise, which is a vital location from the Luke Cage series.

Harlem’s Paradise, a significant nightclub in the storyline of Luke Cage, served as a stronghold for the Stokes crime family initially, but later transformed into Luke Cage’s operational base following Mariah Dillard’s demise. The billboard’s emergence subtly references this character and links the Defenders universe, comprising Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Although Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) have become part of the MCU, the fate of Luke Cage is yet undecided.
