Daniel Radcliffe Joins Cast of Tracy Morgan & Tina Fey’s NBC Comedy Show

Daniel Radcliffe has joined the cast of the new NBC comedy show starring Tracy Morgan.

Earlier today, it became known that Morgan has been cast as a fallen ex-footballer seeking redemption for his tarnished reputation in an upcoming NBC comedy series, which he’s also serving as executive producer, collaborating with Tina Fey on the project.

By the set deadline, Radcliffe has officially been chosen for the series. He will portray Arthur Tobin, a distinguished filmmaker who relocates to Reggie’s (Morgan’s) mansion to produce an engrossing documentary centered around the retired football star’s life.

Radcliffe gained fame by portraying the main character in the Harry Potter films produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. In 2022, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” Additionally, he appeared on TBS’s show called “Miracle Workers.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at the diverse roles I’ve taken on in films like “The Woman in Black” (2012), “What If” (2013), “Victor Frankenstein” (2015), the quirky “Swiss Army Man” (2016), “Now You See Me 2” (also 2016), the adventurous “Jungle” (2017), the action-packed “Guns Akimbo” (2019), and the latest, “The Lost City” (2022).

What else do we know about the new NBC comedy show with Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe?

The show is created by writers Robert Carlock and Sam Means. They, along with Eric Gurian, David Miner, and Rhys Thomas, also act as the executive producers of the series.

At the moment, the show has been commissioned for just a pilot episode. Thomas is responsible for directing this initial episode. The production of the episode is handled by Universal Television, Little Stranger, Bevel Gears, and 3 Arts.

Back in 2006, I was utterly captivated by the groundbreaking comedy series, 30 Rock, which first aired on NBC. This Emmy Award-winning gem was a collaborative effort between the brilliant Tina Fey and fellow comedy maestro, Alec Baldwin. The show, inspired by Tina’s tenure as head writer for Saturday Night Live, offered a hilarious look into the behind-the-scenes world of television production.

Tina, the mastermind behind it all, not only served as the creator but also brought her unique charm to life as Liz Lemon. Meanwhile, Alec brilliantly portrayed Tracy Jordan, a character who added an extra layer of humor to the already laugh-out-loud show. The series ran for a fantastic seven seasons, leaving fans like me eagerly awaiting each new episode.
