The combination of Guadagnino’s directorial finesse, Daniel Craig’s acting prowess, and the intriguing premise based on William S. Burroughs’ novella promises a captivating cinematic experience.

What happens in the Queer trailer?
In the trailer for “The Queer” movie, Craig portrays William Lee, an American residing somewhat secluded in Mexico City. However, his tranquil life is disrupted when he encounters a younger man named Eugene Allerton (Starkey), whom he soon finds himself growing fond of.
1950: In Mexico City, William Lee, an American living abroad, spends most of his days in solitude, only occasionally interacting with fellow Americans. However, his meeting with a newcomer, Eugene Allerton – a former soldier also from America – offers him the first glimmer of hope that he might forge a deep connection with someone else.
According to the 1985 novel with the same title by William S. Burroughs, Justin Kuritzkes penned the screenplay for the film Queer. The cast of this movie also includes Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henry Zaga, and Omar Apollo.
In the year 2024, following the release of Challengers in April which starred Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist, Guadagnino’s next film will be unveiled. This is not his first; he has previously directed A Bigger Splash (2015), Call Me by Your Name (2017), Suspiria (2018), and Bones and All (2022). It was recently announced that Guadagnino might collaborate with Craig again on a Sgt. Rock project for DC Studios in the near future.
On November 27, 2024, the movie “Queer” is set to premiere in cinemas of New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California. Subsequently, it will be screened in theaters nationwide on December 13, 2024.
