Who is in the Queer clip?

The clip features Knives Out star Daniel Craig as his character tries to awkwardly flirt with Drew Starkey‘s character at a bar. Both Craig and Starkey are currently at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival for the world premiere of Queer, along with Guadagnino. The film is also competing for the festival’s Golden Lion prize.

1940s Mexico City serves as the backdrop for our story, where William Lee, on the run from a drug bust in New Orleans, finds himself exploring the city’s vibrant nightlife. Intrigued by a charismatic American Navy veteran named Eugene Allerton, who struggles with drug use, Lee crosses paths with him.

The film “Queer” is led by director Guadagnino, with Justin Kuritzkes (known for his work on Challengers) penning the screenplay. This screenplay was inspired by William S. Burroughs’ 1985 novel of the same title. Alongside Craig and Starkey, actors such as Jason Schwartzman, Lesley Manville, Henry Zaga, Drew Droege, Ariel Schulman, Colin Bates, Omar Apollo, Ronia Ava, and others are also part of this production.
