At this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, Damian Lillard left a significant impact. Known for his nine appearances in the All-Star game, he not only sank the winning shot for Shaq’s OGs, who eventually emerged victorious under the new format, but also collaborated with adidas to unveil his latest shoe creation: the adidas Dame X.
Previously, Lillard unveiled the Dame 9 during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis last year, and later collaborated with BAPE to release it in August 2024. Now, he’s revealed the Dame X in its first “Dame’s Light” colorway. The new model shares the sleek structure of the Dame 9 and boasts bold lines throughout its upper, aligning with adidas Basketball’s contemporary design aesthetic that has been prominent recently. The toe section sports a vibrant orange with a small black Three Stripes logo. Subsequently, it relies on a “Lime Burst” tone across the wavy upper and performance-ready sole. Blue is utilized for the lining and laces, while black adorns the branded tongue and collar, showcasing an early glimpse of this silhouette’s design.
