Daaku Maharaaj composer Thaman S blames ‘independent women’ as the reason behind failed marriages; ‘They don’t want to be…’

Music creator Thaman S is currently garnering attention due to the catchy tunes he’s been producing for films, such as Pushpa 2 and Daaku Maharaaj, which fans can’t get enough of. Lately, the artist made headlines with an intriguing comment when questioned about his future wedding plans.

On Nikhil Vijayendra Simha’s podcast, Thaman stated his current perspective on marriage, clarifying that at this moment, he advises against it for anyone.

To clarify his unusual position, the musician highlighted that modern marriages have grown more challenging because both partners are pursuing independence. This means that women, like men, no longer wish to submit to others. Consequently, this shift in dynamics often leads to the dissolution of long-lasting unions due to the imbalance it creates.

According to him, he’s currently against the idea of anyone getting married. He finds it challenging due to the fact that many women today desire independence in their lives and do not wish to be tied down. As a result, he feels we may have lost a certain type of female-centric societal dynamic.

Shifting gears, Thaman likewise pointed out that regrettably, social media often exacerbates a common problem in contemporary relationships. Nowadays, many couples focus more on presenting their positive aspects instead of revealing their hardships, preferring to keep their challenges hidden from public view.

He often observes many relationships dissolving, with couples splitting apart and marriages ending, because neither partner seems willing to adapt or opt for tranquility and enduring harmony in their surroundings.

Thaman expressed his viewpoint by saying, “I believe Instagram plays a significant role in this as well, though perhaps I’m not using the correct terminology. The issue is that we mainly post attractive aspects of our lives on Instagram, but neglect the hardships we face behind the scenes. As for marriages, I wouldn’t advise it at this point because they’ve become extremely challenging to navigate. It seems like everyone around me is getting divorced; it has become commonplace. People seem unwilling to compromise.
