In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the director clarified that although his upcoming project, Amaran, features Sivakarthikeyan, it is different from another upcoming film, tentatively titled D55. He explained that while Amaran was about a character who received a gallantry award, the protagonist of D55 will represent ordinary people who go unnoticed in society.

Earlier, actor Dhanush shared news about the project through his social media account (previously known as Twitter). In a photo from a film’s prayer ceremony, he conveyed his enthusiasm about collaborating with director Rajkumar on this upcoming endeavor.

Meanwhile, Dhanush prepares for his upcoming theater project called Kubera, which is helmed by Sekhar Kammula. This movie will feature Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna as its main actors too.
