According to the latest TWITTER blog post from Bungie, fans should be ready for Episode Heresy on February 4th. The update unveiled that an overpowered weapon type is set to receive a nerf to prevent it from ruling everything, and it also disclosed numerous balance adjustments for classes among other things. To add to this, Bungie has further announced additional buffs for Destiny 2 in Episode Heresy.
More Destiny 2 Episode Heresy buffs
Through the Destiny 2 Team X’s official account, Bungie unveiled an additional Episode Heresy enhancement for the Glaives weapon category, which was not mentioned in the recently published TWID blog update.
In relation to the adjustments made to Glaives in Episode Heresy, Bungie has lessened the time it takes for an explosion to occur following a glaive projectile kill with the Hunter Exotic Triton Vice.
This buff will accompany the following changes to Glaives listed in TWID:
- Significantly increased Aim Assist, Aim Magnetism, and Damage Falloff Ranges across the board for all Glaives.
- Improved Glaive projectile hit registration.
- Increased the baseline effects at all stat values for:
- Handling speeds, including shield ready speed and draw and stow speed.
- Magazine size
- Projectile speed
- Reload speed
- Final hit of the melee combo deals double damage.
- This hit also inflicts much more flinch on PvE combatants.
Additional adjustments beyond those detailed in the TWITCH stream will also be included in the Episode Heresy update’s patch notes. Bungie hinted they might share more information about these changes on their social media platforms prior to releasing the official patch notes, so stay tuned to the Destiny2Team X account for updates.
Through the Episode Heresy update, Bungie is enhancing the fundamental attributes and usage patterns of Glaives. The goal is to make them more attractive and less specialized, catering to a wider range of players. They aim to make them more agile for reduced reloading frequency, and they will perform better at longer ranges while also being more forgiving. Additionally, they will be more impactful when executing their full melee combo.
