The very first trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Season 2 of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” has been released, offering insights into its progression. This critically acclaimed anime from Netflix was launched in 2022 and garnered a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It is an adaptation from the video game “Cyberpunk 2077,” developed by CD Projekt Red studio. Excitingly, CD Projekt Red has revealed that the second season will tell a separate story.

During the Anime Expo, numerous popular anime were announced, but fans of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners were given a sneak peek at Season 2 via its trailer as well.

At a recent gathering, the team working on the forthcoming Netflix anime revealed a fresh poster and a sneak peek of its trailer. The brief teaser hints that the anime is currently under development. As of now, no specific release date for this project has been announced.

Michal Nowakowski, a co-CEO at CD Projekt Red, recently posted on X (previously Twitter), “We’re working on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2! A fresh team and an independent story within Night City. Once again, Studio Trigger is partnering with us to deliver even more action. Look forward to it streaming on Netflix in the future 🙂

Further, creative director Bartosz Sztybor encouraged followers to brace themselves for emotional turmoil. In another post, he excitedly revealed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is underway. He’s the one writing, producing, and overseeing the project, so anticipate tears!

During an exclusive meeting at the Expo, it was revealed that Kai Ikarashi will take on the director role for Season 2. Meanwhile, Sztybor expressed, “David’s tale may have reached its end, but there’s a wealth of secrets yet to uncover in Night City.
